Broken Apple

Photo/basic_sounds

My machine is physically unwell. I think there’s a cable loose. I get vertical lines derivative of the foreground colors that happen to be on the screen. They look like snd’s A/Visions from Mutek 10.

I have some things I’ve been meaning to put up, but haven’t due to this issue. Hopefully soon.

Brady to Moss

The backdrop here is nice. Strange not to see any fans. If the uniforms weren’t so shiny this might look much older.

Never a bad thing when Brady and Moss connect, and it hasn’t happened enough lately. I think today re-established that.

If I ever stop living in a city, I would like to have two like these. And one as below.

kiss

Only two years old. Incredible.

Saw two in Cooper Square yesterday. Stopped in awe for a few moments, but I couldn’t imagine having a wolfhound in Manhattan.

Jack Goldstein, The Jump, 1978

October 5, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Jack Goldstein’s 1978 piece, The Jump. Recently part of the fantastic exhibit, The Pictures Generation, at the Met. Goldstein’s three part piece, The Pull, 1976, completely captivated me for at least ten minutes, and that was before I came back for a second view after sauntering through the whole exhibit. The Pull was the first piece of the exhibit, showing three tiny figures falling or floating in space. It’s lovely when something so simple can command so much attention.

Velodrome sounds like an evil term to me. As in, the velodrome is reaching critical mass, run!
